During this insightful basket weaving experience, you will be taught a tradition of Salento, handed down through generations, the art of weaving reeds and wicker. These typical baskets were once indispensable for transporting objects and food and were also used to dry tomatoes and fruit. During this authentic basket weaving lesson, located near Brindisi and Ostuni, you will be provided the tools to learn this ancient tradition, which you can take home with you, with a basket.

At the end of this traditional basket weaving experience, you’ll have the opportunity to finish up with a feast of Italian culinary delights with Antonella including cheeses, olive oils and fresh hot breads with a primitive wine (or two) of the local grape.
